Pretty sure they will be fine. I am sure if they lose it won't be because they went to Churchill Downs the day before. Racing starts at 5PM. So didn't have to be a late night.
So will Burns be on a pitch count? Three innings each of his last two start (roughly 50 pitches). The start before that was against the Cubs, and he threw 100 pitches....but in only 5 2/3 innings. With only one more start for Burns after today, I think Francona lets him go until near 100 again.
