YouTube channel In Depth Tech Reviews spotted the feature after installing the latest Android 17 QPR2 Beta 5 on a Pixel 10 Pro XL. The settings page appears largely the same as on the Pixel 11 series, complete with Google's description of Proactive Assistance as a way to get "personalized suggestions at the right time."

That matches Google's description of Proactive Assistance on the Pixel 11. The feature can, for example, suggest a restaurant mentioned in a conversation or surface a loyalty card when you're at a store. Google also says suggestions can extend to companion devices such as a connected watch.

Some signs suggest that what's appearing on the Pixel 10 isn't fully baked. In Depth Tech Reviews also found an unusual "Android Easter Egg" entry inside the default digital assistant menu alongside Google and ChatGPT. Selecting it didn't appear to launch an assistant and instead fell back to the power menu, suggesting it could simply be a beta-related bug.

Proactive Assistance may not make it to the stable QPR2 release, but this is the clearest sign yet that Google is keen to bring Pixel 11-exclusive software features to some of its older models.
