Joshua Van and Alexandre Pantoja are just a day away from a rematch at UFC 331 that has been nine months in the making.
As they did ahead of UFC 323, Van and Pantoja both successfully made weight for their flyweight title fight at Friday's official weigh-ins in Los Angeles. Pantoja was the second fighter overall (after only co-main event competitor Mauricio Ruffy) to step to the scale, coming in at 125 pounds, with Van later matching that weight.
Van won the title from Pantoja after their first fight ended in just 26 seconds when Pantoja suffered a freak arm injury. The long-reigning champion has been sidelined as he recovers from his injury, but now gets a chance to avenge his loss to Van, who authored a successful title defense over Tatsura Taira in Pantoja's absence.
Co-main event lightweights Arman Tsarukyan (156) and Mauricio Ruffy (155) also made weight for their five-round, non-title bout. The matchup is being billed as a title eliminator, with the winner aiming to move on to a fight with lightweight champion Justin Gaethje in 2027.
