The Buffalo Bills quarterback opened up about the cherished photographs in a new interview
The Buffalo Bills quarterback, 30, revealed two very special items that he keeps in his wallet at all times during an interview with GQ as part of the outlet's " 10 Essentials " segment released on Thursday, Sept. 10.
"The most important to me... in my wallet, I always keep two Polaroids - now two, it used to always be one," Allen said while removing the photos from the pouch. "I'm not going to show you these. It's my wife [ Hailee Steinfeld ] and my baby [ daughter Harper ]. Had a baby a few months ago. I didn't, my wife did. Got to have them in my pocket at all times."
Allen married Steinfeld , 29, in Santa Barbara, Calif., in May 2025, two years after they were first linked . The couple announced they were expecting their first child in December 2025 and welcomed a baby girl, Harper Haize , in April.
Elsewhere in the interview with GQ, Allen explained how having a family has changed his view on football.
"I think one is to provide for my - family and two, it's to show this young baby that when she's growing up, how hard life can sometimes get and how hard you have to work at certain things to accomplish some things that may be crazy to others," he said.
"There are a lot of reasons why I play this game," Allen continued, saying, "But it's only added more reasons as to why I do it."
Allen had Steinfeld's support at a Bills preseason game last month, when the actress shared a rare photo from the team's new Highmark Stadium on Thursday, Aug. 27.
"New to Highmark Stadium...@angelmargarita," the new mom wrote on her Instagram Stories as she showed off a drink from Angel Margarita, her own line of canned cocktails , while enjoying the game.
Steinfeld has been spotted at Bills games during the season, but she rarely shares photos and mostly stays under wraps in Buffalo.
As for Allen, the quarterback is entering his ninth season with the Bills, who drafted him seventh overall in 2018.
The Bills visit the Houston Texans to kick off the season on Sunday, Sept. 13.
